I began my journey the way most do: by realizing one day that my unhealthy habits would lead to my ultimate demise. My body was overweight and my mind was closed until a friend asked me to join her at a free yoga class. I went (hesitantly, but still went because free,) and was shocked at how easily my body took direction and moved through various poses. At the end, I felt GREAT!… in a nicely exhausted sort-of-way. My second class was about the same, it was the third that ignited the fire that kept me going: Hot Yoga.

Still a little shy, I went into the dark and volcanically-heated room and an hour later emerged sweaty and smiling ear-to-ear: that was the most invigorating exercise I had gotten in… well, ever! Challenging myself to endure the heat and the feeling of success sparked the addiction that brought me to LOVE moving my body.
I felt myself grow with every class and this was the start of my physical journey: Growth was in learning the poses and finding the Spiritual practice on my mat; the commitment to be at the studio on time (preferably early, to stretch;) and the promise to myself to do something that made me feel better in so many ways. After a few years, I found myself searching for other great ways to move my body, and I grew into an Aerial Yoga Teacher!

After experiencing the thrill of inversions and flying in a hammock, I was able to get deeper into my Physical practice because my body was no longer on the floor- I was in the AIR! The zero-gravity savasana was a game-changer, too. Things, well, took off from there: I began teaching in 2015 and started building my skills in the “silks.” Every time I find myself in the hammock, it revives my love for these beautiful movements.

From there, I went on to get my 200hr training in Vinyasa… then Yin… then QiGong… then a 300hr Kundalini… then Kundalini Rebirthing… and am currently working on another 200hr Meditation training with the Radiant Sutras and a 300hr Vinyasa- needless to say, the growth may never end…

Let me show you how AMAZING Aerial (and ALL) Yoga is!
